MCB Bipolar Electrosurgical Unit
The MCB Bipolar Electrosurgical Unit is a device for exclusive use by surgeons whose operating principle is the application of high-frequency electrical current to soft tissues and which provides two work functions:
> Bipolar resection in saline solution to cut and coagulate tissue
> Vessel sealing and thermocision
Bipolar saline resection is used in urology and gynecology for tissue ablation under endoscopic control using a bipolar electrode (loop, ball, knife, or vaporizer). This function is used:
> In urology, in transurethral resection of the prostate and transurethral resection of the bladder.
> In gynecology, in hysteroscopic myomectomy and endometrial ablation.
Vessel sealing and thermocision are functions used in the ablation of soft tissues, particularly malignant or benign tumors, in general surgery, thoracic surgery, urology, gynecology, coloproctology, proctology, otorhinolaryngology, and head and neck surgery.
